Spectroscopic and biological approach in the characterization of a novel 14-membered [N4] macrocyclic ligand and its Palladium(II), Platinum(II), Ruthenium(III) and Iridium(III) complexes

- Ligand forms square planar (with Pd and Pt) and octahedral (with Ru and Ir) complexes.
- Elemental analysis, UV, IR and mass spectral analysis reveal the existence of monomeric complexes.
- Biological screening data of the compounds shows that the Ru(III) complex is highly active.
