Novel complexes of Co(III) and Ni(II) containing peptide ligands: Synthesis, DNA binding and photonuclease activity

- Synthesis of biologically active Co(III) and Ni(II) peptide complexes.
- Characterized by the spectral and analytical techniques.
- Binding studies showed that complexes are avid binders to double helix CT-DNA.
- The complexes were able to cleave pUC19 DNA effectively under UV light.
