Aqueous dispersions of DMPG in low salt contain leaky vesicles

► Spin labels indicate that gel DMPG aggregates are bilayer vesicles. ► Low [14C]sucrose entrapment reveals the presence of highly leaky DMPG vesicles. ► Viscosity data show very similar aggregates for DMPG at gel and fluid phases. ► Our data indicate the presence of DMPG leaky vesicles in both gel and fluid phases.
