Synesthesia in science and technology: more than making the unseen visible

► Many technologies convert information into a visual representation. ► One may imagine the transduction of information from one of our senses to another. ► Intentional synesthesia among 7 senses gives 42 possible cross-conversions. ► Some 20 of these possible combinations are easily recognized. ► Conversion of olfactory-like input into a visual array output is discussed.
