PtCoN supported on TiN-modified carbon nanotubes (PtCoN/TiN-CNT) as efficient oxygen reduction reaction catalysts in acidic medium

272A novel electrocatalyst for oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) (PtCoN/TiN-CNT) was successfully prepared via simple polymerized complex method and heat treatment in NH3. The synthesized PtCoN/TiN-CNT electrocatalysts showed excellent electrochemical activity for oxygen reduction and high tolerance against methanol in acidic medium. This complex multi-function approach can be applied to other low-platinum, high-stability catalysts, effectively progressing the study of electrocatalysts in the acidic medium.
