Effect of process modification and presence of H2O2 in the synthesis of samaria-doped ceria powders for fuel cell applications

► Ce0.8Sm0.2O1.9−x was prepared in presence of H2O2 and/or reflux treatment. ► Effect of synthesis parameters on powder properties were investigated. ► H2O2/reflux combination improves the morphological and redox properties of powders. ► Conductivity is affected negatively by the treatments. ► This approach allows to obtain a versatile material for different applications.
