Simple synthesis of hollow Pt-Pd nanospheres supported on reduced graphene oxide for enhanced methanol electrooxidation

In this work, a simple and rapid method was developed for large-scale preparation of Pt-Pd hollow nanospheres supported on reduced graphene oxide nanosheets (RGOs/Pt-Pd HNSs) under mild conditions, without using any surfactant, seed, or template. The as-prepared RGOs/Pt-Pd HNSs displayed the improved electrocatalytic activity and better stability toward methanol oxidation, compared with commercially Pd black and Pt black catalysts.
