Effective diffusivity of gas diffusion layer in proton exchange membrane fuel cells

► We develop a comprehensive diffusivity model for gas diffusion layers (GDLs) in proton exchange membrane fuel cells (PEMFCs). ► The analytical model agrees excellently with experimental results and numerical data available in literature. ► The influences of microstructures of GDLs are extensively explored.
