Compositional dependence of DC electrical conductivity of SrO-vanadate glasses

► Glasses with 20 mol% SrO or more contains VO5 groups and VO4 metavandate chains. ► The conduction mechanism is due to non-adiabatic hopping of the polarons. ► The conductivity results were analyzed with reference to theoretical models. ► Both Mott VRH and Greaves models are suitable to explain the data.
