Novel bioinspired acetato-bridged dinuclear nickel(II)-Schiff-base complex: Catechol oxidase and in vitro biological activity studies

The biocatalytic promiscuity of a dinickel(II) complex from a Schiff-base ligand has been explored with special emphasis on catecholase activity and in vitro bioactivity. This “artificial model” of catechol oxidase can act as a novel therapeutic agent as demonstrated by its anti-leukemic and anti-bacterial activity.179
