Synthesis, characterization and structural elucidation of dicarbonyl(η5-pentamethylcyclopentadienyl)ruthenium(II) complex salts of 1-alkylamines

New water soluble 1-alkylaminedicarbonyl(η5-pentamethylcyclopentadienyl)ruthenium(II) tetrafluoro-borate complex salts, [Cp*Ru(CO)2NH2(CH2)nCH3]BF4 (Cp* = η5-C5(CH3)5; n = 0-4) have been synthesized and fully characterized. The crystal structure of [Cp*Ru(CO)2NH2CH2CH3]BF4 is also reported.
