Five-electron donor bridging thionitrosyl groups in unsaturated binuclear manganese carbonyl derivatives

The thionitrosyls Mn(NS)(CO)n (n = 4, 3) and Mn2(NS)2(CO)n (n = 7, 6, 5) have all been studied by density functional theory. Five-electron donor bridging η2-NS groups are prevalent in the lowest energy Mn2(NS)2(CO)n (n = 6, 5) structures.
