Syntheses and structural studies of heterobimetallic thiocarboxylate complexes containing zinc and copper

► Heterobimetallic thiocarboxylate complexes containing Zn(II) and Cu(I) were synthesized. ► Triphenyl phosphine migration occurred from Cu(I) to Zn(II) center during syntheses. ► A metal-metal interaction was found in between Zn(II) and Cu(I). ► TDDFT calculations were carried out to explain electronic spectra.
