Ordered arrangements of metal nanoparticles on alpha-cyclodextrin inclusion complexes by magnetron sputtering

► An ordered arrangement of metal nanoparticles on an inclusion complex was achieved. ► The guest molecules interact with nanoparticles, arranging them in an ordered way. ► Hetero-epitaxial growth of nanoparticles has been obtained by sputter deposition.
