Mechanism of hydrolysis of a platinum(IV) complex discovered by atomic telemetry

Anti-cancer metal complexes frequently undergo hydrolysis prior to reaction with the target biomolecule. Atomic telemetry provides a facile and rapid way to determine hydrolysis product under relevant reaction conditions, as demonstrated in this work for a Pt (IV) complex with known anti-cancer properties.121
