Influence of copper(II) ions on the noncovalent interactions between cytidine-5′-diphosphate or cytidine-5′-triphosphate and biogenic amines putrescine or spermidine

The interaction between nucleotides and polyamines in metal-free systems and in the presence of Cu(II) was investigated by potentiometric and spectroscopic methods. In the studied systems the (nucleotide)(Hx+y)(polyamine) and Cu(nucleotide)(Hx+y)(polyamine) (where Hx+y = total number of protons) complexes were formed. Mode of interaction and stability of the complexes were determined.139
