Metalated nucleotide chemisorption on hydroxyapatite

This is the first investigation where it has been studied the effect of residual charge of a nucleotide derivative, on the chemical adsorption on hydroxyapatite nanocrystals, in water. We found that a cationic or neutral charge on a nucleotide derivative produces a reduced chemical adsorption whereas, in the presence of a net negative charge, strong adsorption on nHAP is observed.79
