The gallium(III)-salicylidene acylhydrazide complex shows synergistic anti-biofilm effect and inhibits toxin production by Pseudomonas aeruginosa

Ga(III) binds the salicylidene acylhydrazide through a 5-membered and a 6-membered chelating ring in the center of the molecule. The most efficient complex, found through screening, enhanced the antibiofilm effect of Ga(III) while suppressing the type three secretion system in Pseudomonas aeruginosa.231
