Local structure and dynamics of hemeproteins by X-ray absorption near edge structure spectroscopy

Experimental setup of the polarized XANES experiment in the case of sperm whale myoglobin crystals, having the P21 space group. In panel A it is shown the angle ϑ, obtained aligning the crystal growth axis b with the normal of the synchrotron orbit. In panel B it is shown the projection along the b axis pointing toward the reader.
