Assembly of organosilver coordination frameworks with polycyclic benzenoid aromatic ethynide ligands

Crystalline silver(I) complexes containing trifluoroacetate and R-CˆC− (R = condensed-ring aromatic hydrocarbon HL1-H2L6) ligands feature argentophilic coordination-chain or multinuclear-metallocyclic structure building units that are held by argentophilic, silver-aromatic, and face-to-face π-π stacking interactions, and weak intermolecular interactions involving co-crystallized solvate molecules lead to supramolecular assembly.115
