Synthesis and structural characterization of organotellurium(IV) complexes bearing ferrocenyldithiophosphonate ligands. The first examples of tellurium dithiophosphonates

First reported tellurium complexes bearing dithiophosphonate ligands were prepared using benzylferrocenyldithiophosphonates. The S2P unit displays an asymmetric coordination mode to the metal center giving rise to weak intramolecular Te⋯S contacts. Discrete molecular arrangements are observed in solid-state with the ferrocenyl groups adopting a trans configuration.
