Conjugation of silica nanoparticles with cellulose acetate/polyethylene glycol 300 membrane for reverse osmosis using MgSO4 solution

- Conjugation of silica nanoparticle (SNPs) with polymer matrix (PM) made by dissolution casting.
- SEM micrographs of PM-SNPs showed uniform dispersed dense structured membranes.
- PM-SNPs composite membranes improved MgSO4 salt rejection properties up to 95%.
- Thermal properties augmented PM-SNPs composite membrane compared to PM membrane.
