Stereocontrolled synthesis of four diastereomeric C-aryl manno- and talofuranosides

► Four diastereomeric C-aryl furanosides were synthesized in a stereocontrolled way. ► The C-aryl furanosides represent versatile building blocks for further transformations. ► Stereoselective reductions and stereospecific cycloetherifications were performed.
