Methylation dependent enhancement of trehalose production in Candida utilis

► Protein methylation had a possible effect on regulation of TPS and TPP. ► TPS and TPP activities enhanced in the methylated state. ► Increase in TPS and TPP activities resulted in the enhanced production of trehalose.
