New steroidal saponins from the bulbs of Lilium brownii var. viridulum

► Chemical constituents of the bulbs of Lilium brownii var. viridulum were investigated. ► Fifteen steroidal saponins including seven new saponins (1-7) were isolated. ► The structures of the new compounds were elucidated mainly by spectroscopic methods. ► Compounds 2, 15 showed weak effects in LPS-induced macrophage RAW 264.7 cells.
