Conformational analysis of an extracellular polysaccharide produced by Sphaerotilus natans

► Conformation of the extracellular glycan of Sphaerotilus natans was calculated. ► Calculated conformation was confirmed by the NOESY experiments. ► The glycan forms a (12/1) helix of pitch 42.5 Å. ► The glycan chain was locally folded due to consecutive 1→2 linkage.
