Coupling effect of plasticity, thermal dissipation and metallurgical stability in ultrasonic fatigue

As a controversy is still existing about the effect of frequency in ultrasonic fatigue, it is of interest to study the effect of heating dissipation, damage, microstructure. In high strength steels, a strong coupling between these parameters is found in gigacycle fatigue.
