Facile construction of Ag nanoparticles encapsulated into carbon nanotubes with robust antibacterial activity

The well-dispersed Ag nanoparticles (Ag-NPs) encapsulated into carbon nanotubes (Ag-NPs@CNTs) exhibit an enhanced antibacterial activity against Escherichia coli, comparing with that of Ag-NPs supported on the CNTs (Ag-NPs/CNT) prepared by the traditional impregnation method.509
