Polar solvent soluble and hydrogen absorbing polyaniline nanofibers

▶ We successfully synthesized polar solvent soluble polyaniline nanofibers using organic additive. ▶ These nanofibers are soluble in water and other polar organic solvents such as ethanol. ▶ We found that surprisingly the nanofibers have hydrogen absoption capability as high as 4.3% at 298 K and 20 atmospheric pressure. ▶ We propose a hypothesis about the role of additive and how hydrogen can be stored in the nanofibers.
