Damage and helium migration induced in fluorapatite sinters by swift heavy ion irradiations

► Fluorapatites were irradiated by swift heavy ions and implanted with 3He. ► At low fluences, amorphous fraction increases with electronic stopping power. ► At high fluences, recrystallization process increases with electronic stopping power. ► Part of 3He were trapped in the end-of-range region and the other below the surface. ► RED effect increase with fluence and electronic stopping power.
