Nanocrystalline cobalt-iron alloy: Synthesis and characterization

► Synthesis of nanocrystalline CoFe with varying amount of iron content. ► Increased microhardness up to three times as compared to coatings without iron. ► Grain size was further decreased with increased in iron content. ► Different phases were present according to the iron composition.
