The NiâBaCe0.7Y0.3âxInxO3âδ dense cermet hydrogen separation membranes were fabricated, and the hydrogen permeability and the stability in CO2âcontaining atmosphere were measured. The Inâdoping level had a significant influence on the sinterability of the membranes and the sinterability increased with the In content increasing. The hydrogen permeation flux of the NiâBaCe0.7Y0.3âxInxO3âδ dual phase membranes decreased with the Inâdoping level increasing, but the chemical stability against CO2 increased. In wet 10% CO2âcontaining atmospheres, the reaction between BaCe0.7Y0.3âxInxO3âδ and CO2 made the hydrogen penetration flux decrease for the 10% and 20% In-doped membranes, while NiâBaCe0.7In0.3O3âδ membrane showed a good long-term stability, which was evaluated as a potential alternative for hydrogen separation.
