Structural and electromagnetic behavior evaluation of Nd-doped lithium-cobalt nanocrystals for recording media applications

Li0.5Co0.5NdxFe2−xO4 nanocrystals having size about 50-100 nm were synthesized via micro-emulsion route. Six fold increase in Hc was achieved for Li0.5Co0.5Nd0.105Fe1.895O4 nanocrystals that suggest the potential candidates for high density recording media applications.168
