The electrical resistivity behavior of disordered 3d transition metal alloy Ni2Mn1+xSn1-x is studied as a function of temperature, magnetic field and concentration (0.40⩽x⩽0.52). A model assuming electron-phonon scattering, magnetic disorder, and localized states with electron-electron interaction is applied to understand the resistivity behavior in the martensitic phase. The electron-phonon scattering changes with structural phase fraction change as a function of composition. The strong coupling between spin and lattice is also manifested. The short range antiferromagnetic ordering by magnetic disorder and pseudogap formation due to co-existence of extended and localized states is predicted. In the austenitic phase, the magnetic disorder has T2 dependence with magneto-elastic coupling.
