Mechanochemical synthesis of mangano-columbite (MnNb2O6) from manganese (II) oxide and niobium pentoxide

► Mechanochemical reaction between MnO and Nb2O5. ► The MC reaction is almost completed with 120 min. ► Crystal structure of MnNb2O6 can be improved by heating at 600 °C. ► The crystallite sizes of MnNb2O6 are almost constant in the size range of 30-50 nm.
