► Synthesized the ternary compounds Pb1−xYbxTe by solid state microwave standard. ► The morphology of ingots at higher resolution sequence shows that cuboidal tubes. ► The behavior of Yb-doping with increased lattice constant of the powder and films. ► The electrical conductivity increased with increasing Yb-doped.
