One-pot electrochemical synthesis of carbon dots/TiO2 nanocomposites with excellent visible light photocatalytic activity

We propose a novel electrochemical method to one-pot synthesize carbon dots/titanium dioxide (CDs/TiO2) nanocomposites for the first time. The as-prepared CDs/TiO2 nanocomposites exhibit excellent visible photocatalytic activity for degradation of methylene blue (MB) under a 50 W halogen tungsten lamp irradiation.
