Incorporation of silver nanoparticles on textile materials by an aqueous procedure

► We present an aqueous method to synthesise in situ silver nanoparticles on textiles. ► Greater amounts of silver were deposited for the aqueous method. ► SEM analysis of the treated textiles revealed the presence of silver nanoparticles. ► ICP analysis showed up to 3 and 4 mg silver per g of cotton and wool, respectively.
