Bi-phase ceramic composite using an interpenetrating network

► Interpenetrating network method was employed to prepare the bi-phase composites. ► Inorganic precursors were homogeneously dispersed into the porous ceramic matrix. ► The glassification efficiency of the precursors affects the mechanical properties. ► No shape deformation is observed in the bi-phase composites with inorganic precursor.
