Characterization of the thermal conductivity of EB-PVD ZrO2-Y2O3 coatings with a pulsed thermal imaging method

► ZrO2-(2-8 mol%)Y2O3 coatings were deposited by EB-PVD. ► We tried to evaluate the thermal conductivity from double layers using the thermal image method. ► The thermal conductivity was successfully evaluated by the pulsed thermal imaging method. ► Thermal conductivity of Y2O3 doped ZrO2 coatings tended to decrease with increasing Y2O3 amount.
