Enhancement of metallic glass properties of Cu-based BMG coating by shroud plasma spraying

► Nitrogen shrouded plasma spraying is introduced for bulk metallic glass (BMG) coatings. ► This minimizes the oxidation and crystallization, and thus increases amorphous fraction of the coating. ► Corrosion resistance of the BMG coating is noticeably enhanced.
