RETRACTED: The resistance of ice breaking ship using the regression analysis of model tests

This article has been retracted at the request of the Editor-in-Chief. It has come to our attention that there is significant duplication of text and content between this Ocean Engineering article and an earlier paper by the same authors, "A prediction method of ice breaking resistance using a multiple regression analysis" by Seong-Rak Cho and Sungsu Lee, Int. J. Nav. Archit. Ocean Eng. (2015) 7:708-719, 10.1515/ijnaoe-2015-0050. One of the conditions of submission of a paper for publication is that authors declare explicitly that the paper is not under consideration for publication elsewhere. Unfortunately the authors of this article have only informed us after the article has published that they published a similar article elsewhere. The scientific community takes a very strong view on this matter and apologies are offered to readers of the journal that this was not detected during the submission process.
