Dynamic response of Mindlin plates resting on arbitrarily orthotropic Pasternak foundation and partially in contact with fluid

► We investigated the fluid-structure-foundation interaction of thick Mindlin plates. ► A mixed-type finite element formulation is used for the plate-Pasternak foundation. ► A boundary element method is used for obtaining the fluid effects. ► The natural frequencies and mode shapes are presented for plate structures.
