Impurity effects on the oxy-coal combustion power generation system

► A process simulation for the 100 MWe oxy-coal power generation system. ► Impurity effects were examined for the flue gas and the system performance. ► Air ingress and excess O2 worsen CO2 concentration in the flue gas and the recovery rate. ► High CO2 content in the flue gas is beneficial for the CO2 purification unit performance. ► Higher than 96% O2 purity may worsen the total system performance.
