Resource use analysis of Pangasius aquaculture in the Mekong Delta in Vietnam using Exergetic Life Cycle Assessment

► Life Cycle Analysis of large-scale Pangasius aquaculture in Vietnam was performed. ► A footprint of the resources extracted from the natural environment was calculated. ► The cradle to farm gate life cycle is resource intensive regarding land and water. ► The feed supply chain is identified as hotspot to improve resource use efficiency. ► A new metric combining resource use efficiency and feed conversion is introduced.
