Technological evaluation of a novel glycerol based biocide-free metalworking fluid

► Glycerol fluid leads to very good results regarding tool wear and surface quality. ► Similar or better process behaviour as conventional mineral oil based MWF. ► The glycerol fluid is stable against thermal decomposition in technical application. ► Full corrosion protection was achieved by slight additive enhancement of the fluid.
