Life Cycle Assessment guidelines for the sustainable production and recycling of aggregates: the Sustainable Aggregates Resource Management project (SARMa)

► LCA tools have so far obtained limited consensus in the mining/quarrying industry. ► A key issue is integration of three inter-dependent life cycles: Project, Asset and Product. ► LCA guidelines for aggregates quarrying/recycling were implemented in the SARMa Project. ► The goal is boosting adoption of LCA in the construction aggregates industry in South Eastern Europe.
