Effects of cold high pressure densification on Cu sheathed Ba0.6K0.4Fe2As2 superconducting wire

► Cu sheathed polycrystalline Ba0.6K0.4Fe2As2 superconducting wire was prepared. ► Cold high pressure densification was applied to a short sample before sintering. ► The superconductivity of pressed and unpressed samples was comparatively studied. ► Results show that cold high pressure densification improved self-field Jc at 4.2 K.
