Conductance of non-ballistic point contacts in hybrid systems “normal metal/superconductor” Cu/Mo-C and Cu/LaOFFeAs

► Andreev spectra of non-ballistic point contacts are investigated and analyzed. ► Hybrid contacts Cu (N)/Mo-C (S) and Cu (N)/ La[O0.85F∼0.1]FeAs (S) are studied. ► We show that considering real N/S contacts as ballistic ones is not always justified. ► Shape of conductance curves of non-ballistic contacts is set by impurity scattering. ► Criteria for identifying ballistic and non-ballistic regimes of transport are given.
