q-Analog of the gap equation for cuprates

► In this study we use q-deformed algebra to study the high temperature superconductors. ► The tight binding model has been used to study the phase diagram and the specific heat of the cuprates. ► The phase diagram demonstrates the well-known hump-like behavior for q > 1. ► The effect of correlation due to q is evident from the chemical potential and the phase diagrams.
